Meet your instructor!
Hi, I’m Melissa Kellett, a self-taught fulltime artist from Sydney, Australia. I’m a mum of 2 little ones and step-mum to 3 more. Yep, it gets busy around here!
I guess that’s one of the things that drew me toward painting and working on canvas – I was looking for a way to relax and disconnect from the never-ending to-do list that comes with being a mum. So, I picked up some paints and a brush, grabbed a canvas and did my first online art course – just like the one we’re about to do together.
What an adventure it’s been since that first course! Who knew that just 4 short years later I’d have showed my work in 5 exhibitions, had a stand at a global art fair, won an emerging artists award and filmed my very own workshop to teach beautiful creatives like yourself how to fall in love with art. It’s been pure magic!
I'm so humbled to now be here guiding you through this course. I hope you enjoy the process as much as I’ve enjoyed bringing it to you.
